Designed by the award winning architect Zaha Hadid, this Aquatic Centre in Stratford, East London forms a key legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games. With a capacity of 20,000 spectators during the Games, the two 50m swimming pools and 25m diving pool will be turned into a 3,500 capacity after the Games, forming the British capital's leading facility for aquatic sports.

By the way, I was also born in Northern Ireland and hold both a British and Irish passport. To those of you who say that the UK is occupying NI, I can tell you, from a resident's point of view that the majority of people have chosen to be part of the UK. I don't think this has any bearing whatsoever on the Olympics.
People who criticise other countries, please grow up. No matter who was chosen to hold the Olympics, people would always have something bad to say.

If you're going to mention Tiananmen inciden 20 years ago don't mind me reminding you what happened when the Japanese invaded China in WWII!

You guys are going to be pissed when you see the temporary seating on this venue... it sickts out of the building, completely ruining the flow of the curves od the whole structure.
It's the only way they could do it though - it's suppose to be small community aquatics center after 2012, not a huge venue.
