Porsche guys themselves accused Nissan of cheating on the Nurburgring official record time LOL they said they bought a GT-R, and tested it themselves on Nurburg, and said it was 25 seconds slower than the official record timing. But then Nissan said, they did use a stock GT-R and tires, and said they are willing to give Porsche guys a driving lesson for their GT-R.
This is so embarrassing, you know. Now people just laugh at Porsche. Porsche is nothing more than a VW Beatle coupe.

i believe Nissan said they targeting 7:18 with the R35 V-Spec and it will be 10 second faster (7 gears)than the Base GTR. If the Base can do 0-60 (3.2-3.5)?? expect the R35 V-Spec to pull LOWER TIMES than that. Porsche fans....the Japs will show u guys how to the Ring in ur own turf, LOL..

Apparently Nissan GT-R V-spec's unofficial record is 7:25, that means it's as fast as Ferrari Enzo and beats all Porsches already
I just hope Lexus releases LF-A soon, that apparently has 7:24, which means even faster than Enzo

why does this always come up. The GTR is faster the the 911TT. I wasnt designed to go up against the GT2 or any other fast as hell porsche. It was made to beat the 911TT and thats what it does.

Standard 911 turbo is not even fair at more than twice price tag. GT2 should be rated against GT-R V-spec which is Nissan tuned circuit special.

Girls - as 300zx said the r35 was build to beat a 911T not a GT2 or RUF or a Veyron which it already has. At the end of the day Nissan have build a superb car. Deal with it and to the 911T drivers that cant take it - get a R35 - ou may get some money back on trading it in on the R35.

Another surprise from a good ol' jap show. Did you know that a standard NSX also destroys TVRs, and s2000s dominate R8s in japan?
Never read anything into these shows - over a lap like that neither car should have a chance of passing the other.
And porsche lovers, the 911 never needs some internet warriors support - it will always be superior to any japanese machine.

I'm tired of this conspiracy theory stuff. Why would Motor Trend, Road and Track and various other independent magazines also agree that the Skyline is faster around Nurburing than the 911. If it weren't true Porsche would put out info of there own disputing the claims. Perhaps the video is rigged a bit, I don't know, but EVERYONE in the world, including Porsche, wouldn't also be in on the conspiracy. The Skyline is faster around Nurburing and probably around any track.

I'm not disputing its speed, but the 911s speed wasn't affected by the gtr's passing, so effectively in the space of one lap the gtr was 3 or 4 car lengths quicker. Bollocks. Crap driving.
And porsche have disputed the gtr's ring lap, but that's probably a load of bollocks n' all. Porsche say they got the gtr round in 8.40/50(?).
I find it interesting how so much of the gtrs speed comes from it's tyres - apparently the dunlops are 20secs quicker around the ring than the optional bridegstones.
