If you're really that worried about your privacy or in most normal person's case's: "trivial details" you could just use a proxy and Tor whenever you search. Use a different name in your gmail account, you could even spell it just a little different (from Brittany to Britney)
What do I think? If they end up doing this then itll be a contemporary 1984 where we have to limit what we say to Newspeak langauge so we don't get detected talking about our true goals: how to overthrow the computers.

Indeed, google uses ALGORITHMS, wich are pretty much vulnerable to various mispellings and proxies and such.
And even more, one must not blame google for indexing the web. People are putting stuff (private stuff) on the web, not google (except the DNA stuff, that's scary).
Google's power is _controlling_ what you see on the web.
