The guy that does this actually traces he Admits that in his profile. I have to said I was wrong I did not intend to hurt anybody's feelings, he does his sketches apart, but that does not give the right do insult somebody you don't know.

Of course you can.
Draw a fine sketch with a pencil and paint over it. I am no expert, but to what I know, this indeed is how most art is done.

I agree with the term sketching which is diffrent from tracing, some artist do a pencil sketches before painting and some that are more experinece don't need a sketch.

Anyone who doesn't understand that artists use a light pencil sketch before inking is an absolute moron. Plain and simple. You do realize that pencil erases....but ink does not.. We are not mindless machines that are trained to never make a mistake when inking. A pencil sketch is very helpful. I'm an artist too, and I do it all the time. Get over yourself.

for sure, impressionism shows how far sketchiness can go. some people are amazing at that stuff. i have to sketch and define the shapes first otherwise i get the proportions wrong. i originally used to do pencil drawings though so maybe i'll put down the pencil and go all out paint one day to see what happens.

You are right, constant training makes a master, that's why I was emphasizing so much in erasing and tracing and sketching,you tend do fewer mistakes as you do a habit. Defining shapes in paint it is hard. I had to admit that going straight to paint needs a lot of training.
