how come people label him as a drug user? If he had of used illegal drugs and tested positive, he would of been dsq'd.

Lance produced a 460 watt VO2 max SHORTLY before producing a 600 watt VO2 max in the Tour de France.
There is no way Lance could gain more than 5% power that highly trained for 15 years.
He could have MABY gotten it up to 470-490 without blood doping.
And he might have even been slightly doped when he TOOK that test.
That is a HUGE difference.
He would do 50+ minutes on Alp d'Huez undoped.
That 38:30 in 2001 clearly belong to the anti-anemia industry.

thanks for the info mustard junkie. i agree with you, armstrong is a disgrace to the sport. He wont allow the french laboratories to retest his samples and he fully supported Floyd landis, knowing of course that he was guilty.

What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty? if he is proven a drug taker i'll happily admit i'm wrong & i'm not having a go at your personal opinion. Phelps won 11? gold medals, federer won almost everything in tennis, Ben Ainslie has won more sailing medals than anyone on the planet, yet we don't label these people drug users. NO amount of drugs = years of hard work/preperation. He works his arse off and raised the bar in professional sport, such is life.

I think you missed my comment below. lance made about 30-35% gain in power output in a couple of months recorded; not years.
Your point is the point a lot of guys make; who realize that about 90% of these pros are doped.
The problem I have with the attitude that if their not positive, their not doped is: Cycling becomes an arms race of test beating doctors, It shouldt take millions of dollars to be a world class bike racer.

Ullrich had more natural cycling talent than lance.
But lance had the ability to go from a 380 watts FTP to a 495-520 watts by doping with his own blood.
Ullrich was not as good a responder to drug therepy as lance was unfortunately along with another 50 or so competitors that have more natural talent than Lance posesses.

LOL - Smells like fear! especially if you felt the need to respond to my little comment Go Lance. I want to know from an objective party - Not Mustard Junkie or the rest of you "Lance Haters". Does he not get tested for steroids like every other athelete before competing. It seems to me how is it someone can "refuse" to give samples and still compete. I suspect that is a one-sided statement to make the man look bad. Clarify.

OK sorry if i got a little pissed but common who tells us that they didn't put anything there to make him look bad besides the company that's review in the samples i just read they don't have good reviews on the own french side and i don't think he could have foll them for 7 years in a rows, i believe in him and french don't have good riders only Americans, Spanish and Italians, sorry again....

Lance is getting tested like every other rider on the UCI div 1. He's been tested about 165 times over his 20-year career. He probably gets one test a month out of competition and every other stage during a stage race.
Amounts of testing hasnt increases since the 1980's.
Riders nowdays have less race-days so thats why you have out of competitions testing. THe UCI races almost always have testing. "BACk in the day" riders used to do 100-120 race days per year so they didnt home-testing.

Also, they will do 'target tested' on certain riders. Lance might have periods where he gets tested 2-3 times in one week. Then he might go a long time with no test.
Lance is paying Catlin to run the 'independent' testing.
Quite frankely, I wasnt upset about Lance's return much.
What infuriated me was seing the former head of UCLA ant-doping lab turn out to be a lance-pay off, then Phinney moving from Garmin to Lance's team.
