i.e. its better to have an justful non-Muslim a friend as an unjustful Muslim. And it the and its better to take God as a protector.

It's ok to have friends of different backgrounds. 49:13 Oh mankind! We have created you () and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another.
We are different to learn from each other. But we all depend on God. And God is the Helper. The everlasting Friend.
If you're looking for an official answer, though, I would ask an imam about it were I you.
1) "AWLIYA" means allies in arabic, so y didnt you translate it? you know not everyone speaks arabic
2) You say got is ur friend? Hes not your friend he is your GOD! and your his slave in the end... Still, Even though you can depend on him.
