In the race to become the Democratic presidential nominee, there are just two primary elections left on Tuesday, Montana and South Dakota.
In both states, large numbers of Native American voters view Barack Obama as potentially the first leader of colour to change the white face of the country's government.
Many American Indians still loathe the government after their ancestors were forced from their land on to reservations.
Al Jazeera's Mike Kirsch reports from the Fort Peck Indian reservation in northeastern Montana.

I need to say this. I am three quarters white. 25% Native American. I love Native Americans you should visit a reservation some time white or black they are not all what you would expect.
