It's the baseline.... We played a kid-ified version of this in my orchestra, and the cello line really does suck XD. But the viola part's good... But yeah, basically a lot of songs have the same eight chords as the baseline. Actually, violinists get sick of Pachelbel- my teacher started screaming at a pianist in our class who was playing Pachelbel (my teacher plays it at almost every wedding gig she does). I'm kind of amazed that he can talk this understandably and play....

A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand(SORRY BOUT SPAM THIS REALLY FREAKS ME

i play cello. The reason that you repeat the same notes is because it is a passacaglia *not a canon* he just thought it would be cool to confuse people by calling it a cannon when it wasnt. it just the classic chord progression that is used later in a sh*tload of songs A passacalia is a composition of the baroque period that used a short repeating baseline throughout fortunately for him thats all he gets to play
