The Shock Doctrine is the gripping story of how America's "free market" policies have come to dominate the world-- through the exploitation of disaster-shocked people and countries.

1) Naomi Klein is everything but an impediment to real debate. She has different ideas from the ones you hear on TV. Isn't that central to what makes for REAL debate, differing ideas?
2) Both her and Chompsky aren't talking about conspiracies in the Illuminati sense of the word. They just analyze power politics.
3) Central to the "Shock Doctrine" thesis is that the disasters don't have to be man made. People just recognize how to take advantage of them when they occur.

That comment is parallel with the sewage on every page of "Shock Doctrine."
Oh how i wish Milton were still here to dominate this idiocy.
The commies used the void. Completely. Pol Pot/Khmer Rouge wanted to wipe everything clean, erase and start society from scratch based on a very misguided Maoist model. Shocks can work both ways.
Unfortunately US did not mean for it to go this way. Woops!
There goes another US col/damage!
why is she wrong?
I could testify the opposite
Hegemonic policy to control us all via a spoof
recession:) How can you bail out a downturn anyway, you either have it or you dont have it? New deal was founded on necessity in 1930, this credit crunch is just a load of re-spoking the wheel. PCM
Just a clarification.
