its not like saying wales is english, its like saying wales are british, which it is, the same way england belongs to the uk, equally to scotland wales and NI, they have different cultures but we are still all the united kingdom, northern ireland is british, and its not an arguable fact, perhaps people dont want it to be, and there are many people who as i imagine share your sentiments but officially it is part of united kingdom, end of story until otherwise.
