actually, Ron Paul is beyond partisanship and has not only demonstrated support for 3rd parties but also said that besides himself (at the time), the current (at the time) candidate he most identified with was Dennis Kucinich. He's very much against the rest of the current republican party as they do not share his more traditionally republican (and constitutional) values.

Let's say the president elect were you, leoca. You're going to inaugurated on Jan 22. How do YOU plan to make EVERYONE in america RICH?
Embracing that which the Ron Paul and the founders put forth would be a step in the right direction but you've greatly misinterpreted everything they stand for you think everyone should be rich. It would be great if it were possible but in a practical way, how could you put everyone in a mansion, gourmet food on their table and a ferrari in their garage?

He also said he is in stark contrast with Kucinich on economy. Since the main problem of this country is the economy, accept it that Ron Paul would pick one of his friends from CATO and Mises Institute and not a communist as vice.

one again you speaketh without knowledge. Ron Paul has repeatedly stated that americans would have to start living within their means under his presidency. When asked who he would vote for, the first person he mentioned was Dennis Kucinich.

But there is an undeniable mutual respect between Ron Paul and Kucinich. They agree on the major issues like debt and deficits, going after The Fed, ending the war and protecting civil liberties.

Whether that takes frugality at first and prosperity in 25-50 years, the point is, we're better off following RP and the founders than the communist.

But Ron Paul said he would vote for that "communist" and that communist, without hesitation he would pick Ron Paul as a running mate. They are personal friends.

As I understand, they generally disagree on the role of government for Domestic Policy. Dennis tends to be more classical liberal in that the federal government should play a larger role in support of the collective. Paul is more the classical conservative (Goldwater era) believing in the role of the individual (less government results in the personal growth of the individual). Both tend to agree on a limited forgiven policy and both advocate constitutionality.

How did they lose? I think they both won. Oh you mean they lost in a self-centered way. I think they were 2 of the very very few running for reasons outside their own self interests. So I'd say they both won, in that they left a very important message and influenced millions. They have a very important message that cant be measured in wins and losses and I hope people remember.
