Besides, tranquility65, of course the song has to do with Harry Potter. Songs are meant to relate to our lives, and if there is Harry Potter in out lives, then the song is there. Besides, this is a great vid--not spoiling the song at all!

Yes,I feel sorry 2. I love men,and I KNOW there are great men out there, my friends husbands, male friends, etc., It's just that all my life, I never doubted any relationship,(till him)but, THAT break came a month AFTER my MOTHER died, and it just was more than I could bear. I am proud of myself, because, in spite of that relationship, I don't hate men,I hate hearing woman bashing men, and in the back of my mind, I will let someone back in, but, unfortunatly, there will now always be doubt.kat

Something I just 'got' is that at 3:46 sec. he says how YOU ONLY HURT YOURSELF,-BE A MARTYR.I love that in all that lovingness of understanding, Joel, allows that moment of anger show, and then quiets himself back down. For any 'innocent man' there must be a bit of anger and frustration at times, and that he expressed that,then remembers what he's trying to convey,and lowers his voice again, makes the song even more REAL. I'd believe anything Billy said to me in the dark.lol kat

Let that doubt be the thing that protects you and keeps you on guard, instead of implicitly trusting somebody. Lets face it, people can change over time, so just because they're perfect one day doesn't mean they always will be. Also, some are just out to deceive whilst keeping their true feelings or intentions hidden for years. I've seen it happen and it beggars belief. Only YOU, will look after you and even our own judgement is wrong at times.

Sure, I realize that a LOT of them are 'just' songs, but Billy Joel, is pretty much a songwriter who writes most times very 'biographically'. So many of his songs, are related to his life. Again, truly, thanks for taking the time to share this with us. AND, for taking the time to reply, Kat

I was on snapes bandwagon after I read the second book(read it right after GOF came out). All of my friends and family harassed me about it, and said, "how could you like him? how could you believe he is worth trusting and believing in?" After book 7 came out I was man enough to admit when everybody but myself was wrong! HA!!! Snape was always my favorite character.
