The fact is though, CD can produce sound better than your ears can pick up, but this doesn't get shown if you are serious about sound. Vinyl may sound more natural on a good system, but is due to the quality of the mixed audio.
CD's are superior to vinyl, but vinyl is more flexible in its uses (scratching). Before vinyl went out of common use, master recordings were already done on DAT (digital audio tape) and transferred to vinyl for stamping.
