yeah, but komodos bites are more risky, alligators bites are crushing.. one of the strongest jaws in nature, but komodo has all bacteria and diseases in their mouths, so if they bite you, you will die less than 7 hours however, what i would do is keep the alligator when its a baby and let it free into everglades when it grows to like a metre long. lol

well they still have very severe bites.. strong jaws and razor sharp teeth.. but yah, komodos shouldnt be pets

Great footage. I lived in Arizona most of my life and the most I ever saw of Gila Monsters was a dead one on the side of a dirt road. Nice to see a good video of one, thanks.

They do have powerful bites, but you don't have to drown them to get them off. The only people who get bitten are the ones that handle them. They're not aggressive unless you mess with them.

They're located in the southwestern U.S. and northwestern Mexico -- most prominent in the Sonoran Desert. They can get to a little over 2 feet long.
