Sharks in Deep Trouble

Video Description:
This is a promo from the documentary Sharks in Deep Trouble by film maker and shark conservationist Lesley Rochat, which was broadcast on 50/50 in South Africa. It contains footage rarely seen which shocked viewers, bringing many to tears. It is important to note that most of the footage was shot on a legal shark fishing boat and that the problem, as depicted in this film, does not lie with the fishers operating legally, but rather with the illegal fishers and the South African government's inadequate management and compliance of this resource. General inertia of governments worldwide in taking responsibility for their natural resources is driving many fish species, including many shark species to extinction. Sharks in Deep Trouble was produced, directed, filmed, edited, written and narrated by Lesley Rochat. To find out more about Lesley's work go to www.aoca.org.za

Sad but true, there's no reasoning with humanity's stupid, emotional instincts.
A also a tiny bit off topic but...Sharks are just as dangerous as any other animal in the wild! Its the marine equivalent of a lion or tiger, can you imagine how we'd feel towards land based predators if there was a movie about a 400 pound lion hunting humans!? There is obviously an inappropriate fear of sharks
