Meyer is being charged with resisting an officer and disturbing the peace.

No, all of that happened before any of the vdeos. that's WHY the video cameras are on him. Because he already made a scene and they know he will again. Look it up. There are dozens of witness statements and both Meyer and Kerry have mentioned Meyer's first run-in with the cops that day.

At Kerry's request they allowed him to ask a question but he abused that undeserved chance, the mic was cut & they were completing his removal to talk to him about his earlier, illegal, actions. leftyman626 cont...)...tried to get others to interfere with the Officers. That's Resisting an Officer with Violence, though later reduced to without, & Inciting a Riot & THAT is why he was arrested. Being tased was 100% his CHOICE. He was given REPEATED orders to stop resisting & he CHOSE to ignore them even AFTER being warned he'd be tased if he didn't stop. He CHOSE to be tased by CHOOSING to ignore them.

Then you must've been watching the edited piece of crap that began with him in mid-sentence, posted by GainesvilleSun. Q&A had been announced to be over, so he got mad that, due to his place in line, he, along with many other unlucky people, wouldn't get to ask a question since they ran out of time. So he threw a shit fit, cut in line, pushed people out of his way, charged to the mic, grabbed the mic without permission, and began screaming and cursing at Kerry WHILE ANOTHER STUDENT WAS TALKING!

They DID talk to him before, and they DO NOT have to answer ANYTHINg from him. Why do you think a guy who gets himself kicked out of an event is owed all sorts of courtesies, but the people paid to remove him (and then arrest him when he refuses to leave) don't have the right to do their job?

Who if it "looks" like police brutality. It's not & Meyer knows exactly what he did wrong.
The cops have NO obligation at all to answer his questions in a crowd like that. In fact, it would be a total mistake to engage in a debate with a perp in front of a crowd he's in danger of inciting.
He's been told why he's being kicked out, they don't have to expalin it again. He was told to ask a question & leave. He refused & they STILL gave him chances to walk before they finally arrested him.

Freedom of speech does NOT automatically mean freedom from consequences. He had his mic cut because he broke ALL of the rules of the forum by A) going far beyond his allotted time and B) using profanity. He got what he deserved by resisting an officer during a removal and then resisting arrest.

it's funny how those idiots pretend to be all innocent and keep asking "what did I do" and "why am I arrested".And a lot bystanders easily got influenced by his questions because the police are not responding, looking like the guy is right. upd sucks ass. they pulled me over on a bicycle for running a stop sign and then screamed for me to get on the ground. i hope some psycho lights them up so they earn their pay for a change. we don't need nazis at UF-especially when most of them have never served in our own military. in addition, most of them wouldn't make it passed admissions to get into UF.

Bicycles have to follow the same rules as any other vehicle. Most people ignore that, but it is the law. I'm glad to hear at least some police officers are doing thier jobs and enforcing the traffic laws.
