Humans who have not been raised in and around humans have trouble developing normal speech patterns once they are around humans- say after the age of 6 or 7. Our last chimp. ancestor split with our genetic line almost 4 billion years ago. Since then, it's been upright walking for us etc. and likely complex culture to some extent but no apes-- your right, we are different but we also share 98 % of our genes with apes. They developed smaller forms of culture as well-such as fishing and tools.

i wonder who they can know something like that. thats what i meant, that "human ancestors" dont even go back that far. the first life at all appeared 4 billion years ago according to the evolutionary theory. i suppose somewhere around like 3.6 or some guess, our descendants (apparently fish like) could breath water. first human ancestor is said to have existed 4ish million, not billion years ago.

Even aquatic mammals like seals and ddolphins have to help their infants to learn to swim. The key point for me is that babies are very fat compared to other primates. It makes no sense on the savannah, less sense in trees but it does make sense in watersie contexts.
