I love this song. I first saw Whitley, Jaleesa, and that guest star on A Different World perform that song when the three were trying to try out and get to sing with Gladys (I was born in the 90s.) But I must say that Gladys's version is so much better.

The music industry today has evolved so quickly in such a way that it does NOT cultivate artists like Gladys Knights & the Pips any longer. It's a shame because this newer generation will never be exposed to such great talents like these. Let's honor these legends like Gladys Knight & the Pips!

She just performed here in Atlanta and Bubba came on stage at one point (love him too), and she sounds the same; she has it. The voice is amazing, and she doesn't break a sweat doing it. She is an amazing talent. This year 2008, she is still singing live with the same timing, talent, and joy. I'm glad I got to see her.
