This video is dead on! I have a 99 Mazda Miata that I bought with 91K miles on it for $7800, and I will run that car into the ground before I get rid of it!!! It is one of the best inexpensive sports cars on the market. The thing people always tell me besides saying I'm gay since I have one, is that it's only a 1.8L I4, but who cares when the car only weighs 1800 lbs. The thing I LOVE about it is that all you have to do is give it gas on a wet road and it drifts like a mother f$&%$er! Cheers!

seeing I'm a miata owner myself, I dont own a hardtop for my 90 miata, but the idea of a retractable hardtop is a sweet idea if your in a area where it rains a lot.
But here in California, no worries really only time we use our hardtops are for long term parking or during winter and turning our miatas into spec-miata =)

I'm sorry, but any car that has 166hp is NOT a sports car. can turn great but everything else goes by the way side. I love this car anyway but theres no way I could buy it without at least dropping a turbo in there... something... 166hp is slower than the "95 car I have now.

Yeah. It's even slower than 1975 Dragster with tons of HP.
I have 1994 Miata with 1.8L engine - you can easily wipe-out cars with more HP because, surprise, it's not only about HP. It's all about weight to power ratio.
It's not a sports car though - my opinion is it was made to give fun and pleasure when driven and this is what this car makes awesomely great. Cheers.

As much as it would be nice to upgrade two things are keeping me from it...
#1 The lack of a yellow color option (have to wait till 2012)
#2 I just don't have the heart to part ways with my 02 Miata, its just to well grown on me and given me no reason to go separate ways.

hmmm...lets keep in mind that the old miata has exhaust and tires. so that means the old miata is down at least 40hp and still has smaller tires than the new one and it has an open dif but its still faster.
