Thank God Dance music is so simple and repetetive or we couldn't have fun dj'ing/creating music like that above.
I hope this style continues. Its a buzz making remixes/megamixes on the fly.
I use Serato with a Rane TTM and a Korg Kaos Pad and the possibilites are endless really, i pretty much do what my man Deadmaus was demonstrating there.
Dance music production is mostly loops and effects with synths, so despite not having a synth rigged up i can sample, loop, effect and re-sample and..

add as i go along. With the ability to have 5 simultaneous samples running together i have just enough elements to make a simple dance track.
Steal a Bass Drum Loop, change the Eq,filter, dynamics etc, re-sample it, then maybe take a random vocal/musical phrase, maybe 2-3 segments, effect it, re-sample it, store it into the banks, then repeat with other elements such as percussion and synth sounds(Kaos Pad has some onboard which can be effected also) and your away !
Do this with recognisable..

But mainly im looping, riding the eq and Kaos Pad effects with the tracks at hand to create a different twist, breakdown, build up, while mixing in or out of a track.
Thankfully after much chopping and changing i found a mixer that allows me to route the audio the way i need it.
And Serato just makes life so much easier when finding loading tracks.

even if some of his songs sound a bit the same,no other producer has stood out in electronic music for a long time the way deadmau5 has,he diserves credit,and alot of it !!!!

I saw Deadmau5 in Philly last weekend. All the haters can say what they want about him but Deadmau5 is pure talent. It's easy to hate on electronic music until you see it live. It's not just a novelty, a good electronic musician like Deadmau5 will rock your soul. His performances are so energy packed. Seeing him live is like driving 150 miles an hour in a Ferarri Enzo with a brazilian supermodel next to you. IF DEADMAU5 IS PERFORMING NEAR YOU MAKE A POINT TO SEE HIM. I hope I see ya'll there!
