body builders get endorsements and do seminars. There's a bigger business than just posing. It's not the same money as other sports but if you run it like Shawn Ray did you can live pretty nice. I love the WSM it's athletism at it's best. Strenght,endurance,guts and all alone. You fail the lift there is no one to blame but yourself.

Bodybuilders, especcially from the U.S make a ton of money. As with all sports, the greatest money isn't directly from the competition, but from your sponsors. It's like with David Beckham while playing for the Real Madrid(soccer) From his club, every week he got about 200 000 dollars, but from his sponsors he got ten times that!

Iwannasee101 , you say that bodybuilders dont make that much money cuz the winner of the olympia makes $150000 . dude firstly thats only the olympia and only one competition a year , + they make much MUCH more from their sponsors . i know Ronnie coleman has 3 TOP end cars , a hummer , a bently contenental GT and a Caddilac escalade !!!!!!!!!!

strongman = Strength, endurance, agility and speed, having all these qualities gets hard when you get to big, and I think he is closer to 200 kgs than 150.

i am interested (but i don't know) do u think there is any lift that, in general, is more a test of strength and involves endurance, agility and speed less? think i heard someone say maybe having to lift something from ground, to overhead in a press? or maybe not as that could be olympic style and that's a lot of technique and power?
any clues my friend? :s

and u said theres many more competitons other than the olympia, bottom line is, how many shows can u prepare in one year, and u are only seeing a legendary ronnie coleman, how about other pro bodybuilders on the rank, the difference in money income is alot, and even becoming a bodybuilder is hard, look at david henry, hes not winning competitions, he can only rely on muscletech. so dun compare ronnie coleman income with the majority on the pro list

sexibitchs101,iwannasee101 got a point there though,many other athletes from other different sport get alot more prestige than bodybuilders-this can mainly be so as bodybuilding dun really goes with the public-u can show ron. coleman physique to the averagers on the street and he would think its gross,thats why bodybuilding can only go a limited distance, though even bodybuilders with their sponsers,u cant even compare a first rank bodybuilder income to even a any 10th ranking golfer on the PGA,
