Nope. It's not style. If it somehow reinforced or amplified the content, perhaps. However, this occurs on nearly every video, regardless of the content. It's just the easiest way to assemble the video from fragments without reshooting. There's good and then there's not-so-good; you can't get away with calling not-so-good "style" unless everyone else approves and starts copying you (and I don't think that's gonna happen).
