on s'en fou si c'est une adapation d'une chanson anglaise...au moins ici on peut voir de la vraie chanson française, avec une bonne diction ! sans prononciation déformée et avec un message de qualité et audible et pas des cochonneries que l'on entend aujourd'hui. Bravo Renée Martel ! Tu es aimée !

It is well known that English Canada does not really a lot about French Canada pop singers...not really their fault...it is the radio stations, english TV who are responsible for the mess...they do not play our french stuff on english provinces...so english people do not know...there are no connection...

Dans les annees 60, on entendait un succes americain le matin, on trouvait quelqu'un pour ecrire des textes en français pendant que des musiciens apprenaient la musique, on enregistrait quelques heures plus tard, on emmenait les bandes audios chez un pressier de disques et on envoyait ceux-ci par camions a toutes les stations de radio du Quebec. Le lendemain on savait si c'etait un succes ou non. Pas le temps pour le fignolage, alors c'est sur que ça sonnait parfois cheap.

This is true. I did not hear a single french Canadian song on the radio while growing up. It wasn't until Mitsou's "Bye Bye Mon Cowboy" was aired that year on Muchmusic did I start to explore French Canadian music.
But to be perfectly honest, if it wasn't for the Canadian content law in the 80's to promote Canadian music in the media, I wouldn't know much about English Canadian songs either.
Let's face it, Canada can learn much from Quebec about supporting Canadian talent.

It was in hte newspaper this week that Pop singer Claude Dubois was humiliated by English Canada...on CBC...What a shame of English Canada !!!! It will take years for English to accept French Talent and include it in their culture of education....SAD story again about who is our so called CANADA.....

Dubois was not humiliated by English Canada. The CBC made a very bad decision in editing out the francophone performances for the english broadcast. It doesn't mean that suddenly a whole city hates Dubois. CBC should have kept all the performances in but didn't and I was sad not to see them.
Dubois shouldn't take a political stance, instead he should talk to the bigwigs at CBC and get them to change their ways. Or at least get people to write-in about it.

i looooooooooove both french and english. although i dont agree that there were many french talents. but true came through. i had the fortune to hear both being bilingual. claude dubois,robert charlebois,plume,boule noire,france gall,francoise hardy french paris they too had many talent.michelle richard except for a few songs i dont know how she got this far. her voice is a joke. all my years i could not and still not stand her. but i love my favorite pagliaro. great listening guys enjoy.mmmmmmm

hey guys if anyone loves michelle richard im sorry if i did not respect other feelings. i mean i liked some that people question my taste also. but 60s 70s was amazing for music. when we touched the 80s i feel something was robbed in music atmosphere something was changed. i like some singers today like james blunt and some other singers but if u asked me u can stay here or ill send u back to the 70 era man im so gone.i dont believe in that but i wold love it. i was happy. i love my girls,but oh
