**************STORY IN DESCRIPTION BOX*********** "careful there darling, these steps can be very tricky. Wouldn't want you to fall and break your skinny little legs." Nicole said to Bridget as she, Joe, Kevin, Haley, Alexandria and Bridget walked down the stairs that led into the night club.
"No dear, I think you're the one who should be careful," Bridget said offering her a fake smile, "you're the one in a skirt so tight I'm surprised you can even walk right now. How do you keep up your circulation in that thing?"
They stood there at the base of the stairs smiling and glaring at each other. The others stood watching the transaction, Joe shifting around obviously uncomfortable.
"rowr" Haley said imitating a cat, "well if you need us, just look on the dance floor"
With that she, Kevin, Nick and Alexandria left Joe to cope with the fighting girls.
As Kevin and Nick walked by him Joe mouthed to them "help me"
They mouthed back "no" and smiled at him, shaking their heads, in a 'your on your on here buddy' way as they continued to the dance floor.
Defeated, Joe turned back to face the girls who were still shooting daggers at each other.
Without looking away from Bridget's eyes Nicole smirked and said "you know what baby? I feel like dancing too. Lets go"
Joe turned to Bridget, biting his bottom lip in concern "are you going to be okay for-"
"no no," Bridget said cutting him off, "you kids go and have fun. I'll be at the bar"
Joe's eyebrows shot up with surprise
Bridget laughed "nothing like that. Jeez. Haley's the drunk remember?" she smiled at him "Here, I'll promise not to get totally smashed tonight okay? Now go have fun. But not too much, we still have a show to put on tonight."
Joe nodded his head, still looking not so certain about leaving her alone in the club.
"Come on Joey! What is she your mom? You need her okay before you can dance with your girlfriend?"
"yeah, okay I'm coming." Joe said, turning to follow Nicole onto the dance floor.
Bridget walked to the bar and ordered a sprite. As she sat there sipping her soda several boys tried but failed to get her to dance with them. She was too focused on the dance floor. Even in the dimly lit club she could see Joe and Nicole clearly, like a spot light was on them or something.
So how did we get to this point in our story you may be asking yourself right now.
