Yes I can judge the cost of a saree, a tourist from India who went to visit Thailand with his son and husband wont be a poor one. Thats basic. And about Thailand, you can start about prostitution, which is rampant in India too, but under a veil. Ordinary Thais are very polite and civilized and well mannered. About Malaysia, a huge percentage of them are Indian Muslims and Tamils who still carry their habits from their home countries. Yes I have been to both countries several times.

I really have nothing against India, but you have to open your eyes. maybe another 50 years. It took 50 years for you to throw away thye license raj and embrace open economy. So another 50 years to drop off prejudice and fake pride. By the way, both Malaysia and Thailand have more foreign tourists per year than India, though India is several times larger. Any clue why?

Why is it getting so difficult for you to accept that even educated people in your country spit and pee on the road? You are still arguing with a person who wants to give you some suggestion to make your country better. The Chinese take suggestions. Thats why they are getting ready to rule the world. Indian goes to US. After a few months he feels ill all the time. He goes to many doctors, but none can help him. Finally he goes to specialist. After examining him, the doctor says, "Take a 5 gallon bucket, and mix all your shit and piss into it for a week. Then stick your face into the bucket for 1 hour each day and breathe deeply. Omar & AMXLA, the problem with India is population and lack of education (including family planning). I agree India is not as beautiful as other Asian countries, but its a free country unlike others around it.
If you are not a pedophile or drug user, you will never go to jail for making a bad comment about their leaders. I have even seen a foreigner having a fist fight with some (travel?) agent and people supported the foreigner. People are quite reasonable and open minded there...

India has a very conservative culture, so people are normally sex starved often. But it also has a good side, there are no single mothers or babies without parents in India like foreign countries. In Indian system of democracy, the government is not brave enough to do something that hurts the poor & uneducated masses. Lots of people from the villages come to the cities to settle or do small daily jobs. They retain their village habits (pee and poo on the roadside). There are few public toilets, and often the poor prefer the open nature than the concrete walls.
Well off Indians hate it too, but scared to express their true feelings, they buy a car to avoid walking on the road.

I agree confidentialfuck. I am from Hong Kong and when people visit Hong Kong they are ovfer awed by the supposed "MODERNITY" of Honmg Kong. However in hong Kong you have people living in Highrise buildings 12 people to a 1000sq foot house. They do not cook at home but eat in cheap food houses to avoid the cost of cooking gas. They saty outdoors to avoid electricity bills. This is someone who who works as a senior secretary and whose husband is a fireman.

The home provided by the govt is substandard and would be more dilapidated then homes given by the Slum Rehab Board in Mumbai. To think of it HKG has a poer-capita income which is higher than any American city and also higher than all European countries apart from Luxembourg!
