XDXD I laughed so hard my mom came to tell me off for staying up late... my favourites are (too bad they took so many puns put from the film version, including them) the piccolo player and the general... they do it amazingly, though I find a bit strange that at lines such as "And/Then who are we th deny it in here" and so on they don't sing the same tune. But of course I'm used to the film version... :S

Helena acted too much like Sweeney - she was too dark and sinister. Mrs. Lovett is supposed to be cheerful and talkative compared to Sweeney's obsessive anger. Helena just got boring to me

I love that people are saying that Angela Lansbury is too old or not right for the part to play Mrs. Lovett when Sondheim wrote the part with her in mind. She is amazing. Far better, more believable, and powerful than Helena.

Well, I have to say that I like Angela better as Mrs. Lovett but I think Helena brought something different. She even stated during an interview that Tim Burton told her to tone down her expressions. So, in that case, it was poor directing on Burton's part.
