In the April 2008 Priesthood Session, President Monson mentioned political machinations. Not knowing what that meant I looked up the word and was stunned as I read the definition. This videos was inspired to help wake up my fellow LDS members to the dangers we face in America as seen over 40 years ago by President Ezra Taft Benson. It is time for all of us to get our homes in order in preparation of the approaching PORTENT storm that Pres.Hinckley warned us about in 1998.

I respectfully disagree with your claim that the church is socialist. The law of consecration is socialism perfected becuase each and every individual agree with the principle and support it. As soon as one person disagrees, but is forced to follow, it becomes socialism. Nobody is forced into the church and it's beliefs and practices. It is all choice, therefore it is not socialism.
Just a thoughts.

I have been feeling very uneasy lately. Very unsure and well, sad. I have thought a lot about socialism, which is taught by a lot of university professors as basically the thing to do. I am so grateful that this video has been posted on Youtube because I LOVE President Benson, and I am so glad to hear an actual prophet of God talk about the dangers of socialism. No the law of consecration is not socialism. There is private ownership in the law of consecration. It's probably the most misunderstood doctrine in the church. The good books on it are out of publication. There are a lot of good articles on it from the churchs website but it takes a bit of searching to find. The first presidency put out a letter in the improvement era back in the day on socialism.
