Red-Eared Slider Turtles Backyard Mini Pond

Video Description:
I made a little playground for my turtles. I have 5 Red-Eared Sliders and a Yellow-Bellied Slider in there. They love the land area as they spend all day up there basking. They only use the pond to eat and sleep :D. All of the rocks and stuffs that i used to build this are stuffs that i found in my backyard (we used to have a Koi pond). I only bought the water pump to make the waterfall-filter.

Haha, I was actually thinking about making a pond for my little turtles using one of those kid pools, too. =P But I have a lot of birds, squirrels, cats, etc. coming into my yard. So I changed my mind. But your set-up looks really nice. I know your turtles absolutely LOVE you. ♥

ground... I have two KIKICHANG & BROOKLYNN... I love them too... I got both of them when they
were as small as a quarter... now kikichang is
bigger than a dinner plate but brooklynn is small like an orange... funny that brooklynn is always trying ... u know he try hard but kikichang is way too big for him ... poor thing. Thanks for sharing.

Are you going to leave your babies in their pond for this winter? This summer is the first time for mine being out door but I am not sure if I can leave them through out this winter. Thanks for sharing. Good work w/a lot of love for your turtles. They are lucky one.

Hey!.. yea im going to leave them outside for the winter. I don't think it'll be too cold for them since we are in southern CA . . but if it does get too cold ill move them inside.. not sure where i would put these little poopers though. =)

Hi, thank you for feeding me your info. and for the comment of nerice6, I want to share that I got two cats plus a lot of squirrels in the back yard plus one raccoon coming sometime at night... but I think they are all harmless to my two turtles... Thanks for sharing...

turtle food! you can get them at Petco or Petsmart etc.. most of my local aquatic fish stores sell them also.. i sometimes feed them fruits too
