yes it is.
darts and formula 1 racing aren't real sports.
You walk up to 6 or 7 miles on a golf course an a round can last up to 5 hours. Those 5 hours are full of mental and physical strains.
Anyone who says golf isn't a real sport has either
1. Tried it and sucked cos they spent 5 years trying to hist the ball and when they finally did, toped it 3 yards.
2. Have never played the game.

Golf is a game tat only tue sportsmen can triumph in. You need the full package of physical and mental strength, especially when you have to beat about 120 other phenominal sportsmen and especially now that players are reguarly striking the ball 300 yards +.
The flexibility and athleticism involved is tremendous and to maintain the focus and consistency in a round of golf is very demanding.
Golf is a real sport. A real hard one at that. No one can deny that.

it must be pretty special not only playing a major championship but knowing if you play well you will win. Knowing that there could be 3 or 4 career video worthy shots in one round. he must be 100% content with life at the minute. not bitter because he's earned it.

i'm no fan of golf, its boring and shakespeare said it was a way to ruin a good walk,UNLESS woods is playing. I appreciate his skill and watch only when he is playing. i'd like to see him play a round with the ancient clubs used by all the ones he is held in comparison to. borrow nicklaus' old persimmon woods and irons and see if he can break 100.

if all players used the "ancient clubs" tiger woods would still win as he is the best player by a country mile.
and nicklaus used the same clubs as all other players in his era just like all the guys in tigers era use the same club technology as tiger.
