ok i wasn't saying dragonforce were better than sonata arctica. they arent even good. And i was marking on the fact that someone said it sounds like dforce, but sonata came first so Dforce would sound like sonata.

They're nothing like dragonforce.
Dragonforce are power metal... this is melodic metal I think. Sonata Arctica are way way better live, dragonforce's songs all sound the same. I like both bands though. Sonata Arctica a lot more of course xD

They come under like 4 different genres, I don't think symphonic though, Nightwish are symphonic. Symphonic means it would have orchestration in it, which it doesn't, keyboard doesn't count lol

Sonata Artica is a little more versatile. Maybe the drums/solos are slower, but they have some more variety in their work.
I still love both of them. =)
