British director Shane Meadows' new film This Is England was recently given an 18 certificate by the British Board of Film Classification, much to the dismay of the films production team who believe the film should have a 15 rating. Hey, what about Sweet Sixteen? They gave that an 18 as well just because of the word "c*nt". Why give a film that's rated R in the States the equivalent of an NC-17 just because of a stupid curse word?

In America it got the R rating. I usually call R, "Real". As in "Real life".
Slasher films deserve R, indie films with a grand moral story deserve PG-13. But the rating system is crap here in the States.
