What percentage of this home's electrical needs are met by this system in summer, long sunny days? Are the controllers and inverter tied to a battery bank somewhere in the house?
Hi, This system ...( 1 year ago by bartzamoto)
Hi, This system does about 2/3 of the house load. There is no battery in this system. When they are producing more power than they are using they are storing credits with their utility company. I am finding more clients interested in battery backup systems.

yes, in these days it was the Sunnyboy SWR2500U-SBD inverter. We now use the latest version of the Sunnyboy Line the SB3000US or the SB6000US on larger systems.

I like how one of the guys uses his drill driver in the module's junction box. No torque drivers or torque wrenches in the whole video. So much for installing to manu's specs huh? Two strings on different roofs and only one inverter too. At least the other roof is the same pitch thought right? Appears to be.

I really want to get solar power for my home in Texas. Not really sure how to go about it or weather it would save me any money.Thats whats its all about how much will it save me?

This is a 3KW system. It should produce 450kWh a month on average in Southern California.

yes, two strings - one inverter. The key here is that the strings are the same number of panels to have the same voltage per string. The roof pitch is the same too, so this configuration gives a longer production day. I want to say Torque Drivers are for wimps, but I think that will sound funny!
Why rent ...( 7 months ago by rubyspirit2)
Why rent electricity when you can harness it for free, and sell back to the electric company any you don't use?
you can´t say ...( 6 months ago by truthspeaker2000)
you can´t say generally how much it would save, it depends of a lot factors, like : - are you buying everything, or are you willing and able to do some things yourself, - do you want to install PV (electricity) or solar thermic (hot water), - how much sun hours a year do you have and at which intesity is this sunlight ...

I'm a 30 year old electrician living here in Jacksonville, FL. I am currently studying to get my masters license. Watching this video just gave me an idea to open up my own solar power company. I've done everything that they did in this video.

Looks like today is the day that you learn something new. Inverters and module's junction box terminals are torqued to inch pounds and not foot pounds. There is just a little bit of difference. Try reading a manual, you'll get there someday.
