Learn to enjoy bits of every performance if its your friend playing to Fats Domino....and all the 50 years since a Domino or an Oscar Peterson,etc. Figure you got 10 more years on the road playing in 10 more bands and then you can start to form a good opinion on all this. Yeah a lot of that comes from that VERY sweet '59 Les Paul. It used to belong to Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) and Peter gave it to Gary. Notice the neck pickup is flipped backwards...gives it a very different tone from a standard '59 (or any other Les Paul for that matter).
