One could, but if ... ( 3 weeks ago by ThomasGrillo)
One could, but if the surrounding environment, or the instrument is not allowing proper tuning with a music stand close to it, then a teleprompter parked near the theremin would also cause this problem. However, one could use a 40 or 50 inch monitor/projector parked far away from the instrument like a teleprompter. But you still have to have a way to cue the page turns. ;) However, I feel it's possible to use a music stand once one learns how to adjust the instrument to the stand's capacitence.

well the page turn would be done automatically, scrolling down slowly with the music.

This is true. You could program it to scroll at a given rate that would allow the musician to read, and play hands free. (literally in more ways than one). ;)

What makes the B3 Deluxe and B3 Pro etc. better than the classic B3?
The B3 Deluxe, and ... ( 2 weeks ago by ThomasGrillo)
The B3 Deluxe, and B3 Pro are in an 18 inch long cabinet, which allows the pitch field to be spread out wide enough for the volume control hand to work the volume antenna without interfering with the pitch field. This also permits more spacing between the notes to make for easier playing like with other conventional theremins.
The classic B3 was so small that it was trickier to play.

Actually, I'm playing a theremin, which is an electronic musical instrument which is played without being touched. I'm not humming at all. ;)
Theremins work by using a radio-magnetic field around their antennas. As we interact with these fields, we change the capacitence of the fields, and this in turn changes electronic values of tone generating oscilators through a process called heterodyning, where one oscilator is slightly out of phase with another, producing the tone we hear at speaker.

I cannot imagine how difficult the theremin must have been to learn and master as you have.
I've seen other video attempts and shudder at the thought of trying to play such a challenging instrument. Mr. Grillo you are truly a master.

Thanks for the kind words. It's difficult to learn, master, and play, but it's extremely rewarding to play once you have mastered it.

Do you play it as a profession? Your work is exceptional. Do you know any experimental thereminist song makers? Is there anyone trying out it's potential sounds and possible new ways to intrepret music? (sorry for my bad english if there are anything not fully comprehensival in this text I'll explain it in other words.) Thank you for any answers in advance.

Yes, I am a professional thereminist.
There are quite a number of musicians exploring the theremin's cabibilities in music. You can find many of them on the web at thereminworld.
some people are even writting music for the theremin.

What is the method of amplification on one of these? It might be cool to try to channel one through a wah or distortion pedal. Maybe play some funk Theremin or something. Do you think that would be an easy thing to do?

I just used a reverb pedal, and amplified through a mixer with an external speaker.
It's very easy to run the theremin through an effects pedal, or wah pedal. Sounds cool too.
