You can also find Etherwave Standard for $400 at moogmusic on the web.
Wavefront has some for $800 and $1800.
The classic B3 was so small that it was trickier to play.
Theremins work by using a radio-magnetic field around their antennas. As we interact with these fields, we change the capacitence of the fields, and this in turn changes electronic values of tone generating oscilators through a process called heterodyning, where one oscilator is slightly out of phase with another, producing the tone we hear at speaker.
:D
Some of the Best Playing Ever From a Great Thermin Player.
I've seen other video attempts and shudder at the thought of trying to play such a challenging instrument. Mr. Grillo you are truly a master.
Yes, I am a professional thereminist.
There are quite a number of musicians exploring the theremin's cabibilities in music. You can find many of them on the web at thereminworld.
some people are even writting music for the theremin.
It's very easy to run the theremin through an effects pedal, or wah pedal. Sounds cool too.
