I think this ending is pretty good. I mean if you look at this way. Reptile helped Shinnok defeat Raiden and his warriors and thought that because he did Shinnok would give him what he wants. But when he did work with an evil fallen elder god bent on revenge against the other elder gods he shouldn't have expected to get what he wanted.
