Science proves the earth is not at the centre of the solar system. Why for so many years was it believed that this was the case? Hmmm oh yeah I know a bunch of pedo priests said it was so. Science can't ever show religion to be wrong hey. If u want to believe the world is flat and at the centre of the solar system then time will show you to be a fool (Understand the meaning). the natural piety and sense you speak of are the inherent moral law within us all. the moral law is what makes us feel good when we do good things and bad when we do bad things. why do you think this has never changed across generations?
as for laws or reputation - they cannot make a man behave morally they can only make him carry out actions he believes he can get away with.
face it - all established moral laws come from religion. that was the whole basis behind the postmodernist movement.

Do you even know what jealous means? It means wanting what is due to you. Thus God wanted what was due to him from the Israelites for saving them. Thus God is jealous yes, and he has every reason to be. If he was envious that would be different for that would be wanting what wasn't due to him.
