Yes it's made in Mexico.
The neck is C shape, but I'm not sure if you can call it "large".
It's definetly larger than the neck of an American Standard strat, and it's VERY comfortable!!! ;)

Yeah... I love hearing people complain about the economy like this. Guess what... Remember back in the late 90's early 2000's when everybody had a job? They had been making Fender's in Mexico and Japan for almost 20 years at that point. Now because things aren't looking so great, people LOVE to do stuff like that. Maybe our country should place more value on education and not worry so much about buying foreign guitars?????

I can answer the question about the neck. It's not as 'large' a neck as the '62 vintage hotrod has, it's a 'c' neck and similar to th hotrod in all respects except that from 'front to back' it's not as deep and chunky. The flatter radius is not noticeable either. Very nice indeed. The sonic blue colour is amazing and the aged knobs and pups are Mmm! The mint 3-ply scratchplate is the icing on the cake. It's a beautiful guitar for sure and the custom '69 pups scream out rawk! Great guitar!

Not sure if you could help me is there a difference in the 69 pickups from the 2006 CP Series Strat (With 60th annv logo on back of headstock) People tell me they have CS 69 pups signed by Abagail (Spelling?) and that the 2007-current models do not have CS69 but just stock 69 pups. Can someone explain...Is tone different

I'll tell ya what, some of these Mexican STrats blow away alot of American made ones. Even custom shops. The bottom line is when you get a good instrument it just doesn't matter where it is made.

I tested the CP60's alongside the deluxe US strat. I could afford any one of them.
I bought th CP60'S...'IT'S GENUINELY A BETTER GUITAR. If you need a rock or blues sound, this is the one! If you want clean, like country or knopfler even, the deluxe is better. The CP60's is a rock guitar for sure.
Pups are warm n dirty...'they scream!

The strat classic 60´is a great guitar. The one on the video is a 2007 Mexico produced version which comes in "many" different qualities sadly enough. Check out as many as possible if you are going to buy one. (This goes for any buy ofcourse, but especially for foreign produced Fender guitars. If your are looking for old/used ones at a reasonable price, check out Japanese strats from 1982-1984. Mexico 1991-1993 and us 1991-1995.
Most older are great but expensive.

The '62 hot rod sounds great,but jeez the neck is like someone cut the thick end of a baseball bat in half.Its worse than the Esquiers.I like pretty thin profiles myself,like a thin C or thicker V.

dude... honestly, buy from ebay. I got an ESP, a BC Rich flying V kerry King signature and a fender tele and strat for like maximum 500 dollars each. and they work ... well they work like if they were new u know. havent had a problem with ebay ever. ( also got a Peavey eddie van halen amp ^^)

bullet's better, not sure the technical difference though, but i'd say save up a little more and get a mexican standard, or classic player's
