I listened to this band back in middle school and that would be about 19yrs ago. Anyways they have a real creepy sound and I think that is why quite a few listen. Just listen to the chords. You have to be evil to the bone to make chords like this and that is why they were awesome to me. Not that I'm evil or anything, but to a 13yr olds mind it is quite provocative in a horror sense. After listening to it enough you may wonder if there are ghosts in the room lol.
