It amazes me how people start reading dirty meanings into a person's actions as soon as they know he's gay. Straight people are NEVER subjected to similar attacks. WHY?
They say, "Dumbledore is gay, so he must be hot for every male student. Dirty pedophile".
But NOBODY says, "Malfoy was straight, so he must be hot for every female student. Dirty old pedophile".
Why is that? Any sensible answer?
Aren't the vast majority of rapes and pedophilia in the world carried out by STRAIGHT men?

I don't think it makes any difference to Dumbledore that he's gay. My reaction was like Emma Watson's "All right, makes sense." IT DOESN'T MEAN he was hot for his students, ha ha ha. He was an amazing and repectable wizard in the books. And his sexuality isn't crucial to the man's brilliance itself!

There really isn't a point to making him gay. I don't mind gay people it's just that it doesn't have much of a point in the story. However I would laugh if there were a totally serious scene between Harry and Dumbledore talking about the future and all that, and out of nowhere Dumbledore makes a pass at him. Like just the classic drop your pencil and reach down to pick it up technique. That would be funny to see.

it makes a huge point to the story, actually. it makes dumbeldore and grindelwalds relationship that much more intense. it also clears up the reason for why he has never had a love interest w/ anyone else.
and anyway, the only reason why this even came out was because some girl asked if "dumbledore ever fell in love." and rowlings response was "well...i always thought of dumbledore as gay."
