Well, if a band doesn't "sell out" then how are they supposed to earn money and make music their career? Every band that publishes albums and promotes them on tour is selling out. If bands dont sell out, they don't go beyond local gigs or make a living.

I don't think that selling out means making a profitable career. I think that selling out means to drastically change your style or purposely hold oneself back musically for the SAKE of profit.
For example, Rush has made millions and not sold out. Same with the Dead, Pearl Jam, Live, etc.
Many rich bands DO sell out, but not all do.

1 - Yes it is in guitar hero.
2 - Yes it's a cover in the game. Not sure who did it, but listen to the Lizzy one and then play guitar hero and you'll notice how much better Phil Lynott's vocals were. The vocal take in the game sucks balls.
