Amazingly done. My opinion: we don't really have to make a shitload of money to live. I mean as long as people share ideas it's useless to have a shitload of money because it would be unnecessary. You can build your own life using your brain. But the most important thing is the afterlife, if you do good in this life and you believe in god and mohammed, you're on the right path. use the best of this life in a good way to make yourself happy in the next life.

Nice! BTW, if we take care of the earth and share her fruits equaly we don't need money and/or ownership. We are (creating and sharing, loving and living), so WE ARE. Nobody has become poor by giving - Anne Frank

"The Latin title [ ...( 2 months ago by cfkickyourass)
"The Latin title [Utopia] plays upon two Greek words - eutopia (good place) and outopia (no place) - with the ironic subtext: no place this good could ever exist." (Newman 48) This line is common sense; since humans are not perfect, anything they create will also be imperfect. There will always be greed and evil and sin in the world. There always has been, and nothing can change that. Newman, Garfield, et. al. Legacy: The West and the World. Toronto: McGraw-Hill Ryerson Limited, 2002.
(cont'd) The best ...( 2 months ago by cfkickyourass)
(cont'd) The best system would most likely be one where there is no one in charge with absolute authority. Abosulte power brings absolute corruption, and that's what happened to the monarchies of England & France and the R.C. Papacy. However, if everyone is equal, then few decisions can be made because no one has authority. If you make a combo of the 2, then you might have a good idea, but then USSR didn't exactly last. This video raises good ideas that might be addable to make a good world.
While we should not ...( 2 months ago by cfkickyourass)
While we should not give up and we should keep trying, remember that greed and sin are as much part of human nature as our need to have security and family and our love of food. We want security, and most find security in power and fear. When in a world the papacy, supposed to be held by the most religious and moral-conscious man in the world turns around and, well, look up the medieval ages and see what they did. It is impossible, but we as individuals make the difference here.

Agreed. The internet cannot be a substitution for human interaction. But because of the vast spread of humanity, it is impossible for human interaction to work. Don't lose your voice through saying what is on your mind; humanity wants to hear you, too!
If it is a true ...( 2 months ago by cfkickyourass)
If it is a true communism, then everyone is equal. If everyone is truly equal, than there would be no authority. Police and government, while disliked, are necessary. If none is in authority, no decisions can be made. That, and there WILL be someone who will get greedy. Humans need security, and power and fear are common means to get it. Therefore, to stop people wanting to take over, you need an authoritative body, but then it is not communism ;).

A musician writes music not for money but like any other artyist to be appreciated. Some of the greatest artists lived in poverty. They created for creations sake not for money. Taking inspiration from Alan Watts - we are selfish but when we really follow that thought we realise that everything we want is something other than ourselves. We imply each other... your interest is mine and mine yours, your suffereing is mine and mine yours.

Between Kurzweil's ...( 16 hours ago by kellyevans)
Between Kurzweil's "law of accelerating returns," and an education/relationship based economy, we will develop a world where a basically high standard of living is universal...and then on that, people can build up value, based on recognition of their contributions. Currently, higher education is still valued enough to be costly, even though information is freely available, and MIT even made courses freely available. As hardware becomes more like software, knowledge become more like commodity.
