my statements pretty much apply to about every racecar video where some couch potato is ripping on the driver. Look for the F40 GT LM video on here, a French formula 1 pro is having trouble putting the straight-cut non-syncronized gearbox into first and everyone posting comments has apparently sat in, drove, raced, and won championships in such cars. Give me a break. A bunch of clowns think since they can drive mom's 5 speed civic to get a gallon of milk they could rip 3:10 on the nurburgring

It's a shame that the Le Mans engine regulations in 1992 were revised which did not allow the Mazda 787B to compete. If the regulations were never changed, this car had a very strong chance of repeating its 1991 win.

The only reason it won, was because all the quicker cars broke down or crashed, otherwise it wouldn't have come close.

Point of the matter is, it won the ultimate endurance race. It may not have been the quickest car but it lasted the entire 24 hrs. To win Le Mans, you have to have the perfect combination of reliability, speed, drivers that know how to manage a car and luck. Jaguar and Sauber-Mercedes may have been the quicker cars. But they did not have the reliability.

hahahaha ur a tard huh mazda started on 19th (#55), 23rd (#18) and 30th (#56 an an yet #55 took first 56 took 8th an 18 took 6th.the fast cars were still there 3 jags an the sole mercedes took 2-5th admit it mazda won fair an sqaure

Yeah. The FIA really screwed them over: they had just completed the 787B when the rules were changed. The only reason why the FIA changed the rules was because they wanted private engine constructers without the money to compete in F1 and manufacturers too timid to make the plunge a new place to race. This ultimatley backfired, because after their '93 Lemans win Peugot went to F1 with essentially the same engine, and others followed suit. A real shame. Also, thank you to whoever posted this!^_^

such an incredible car, especially because of how light its engine is. it was actually the most reliable at Le Mans in 1991, also using less fuel than the other cars. fucking FIA...they banned the Wankel engines because of an "unfair weight advantage," or else mazda would have dominated Le Mans for a while
