The song is mostly about an artist who can't find love and mostly, everyone refuses his love and can't see things in his eyes. So he commits suicide, but still, no one understands except one person, someone whom truly loved him. That's part of the song, but also in my point of view. Very wonderful, yet sad song.

lyrics talk about his life,his mental illness,the painting itself,and his suicide.
ppl only began to appreciate his paintings in the final ....few months of his life?
today his considered one of the best ever.
