it makes no different whether he uses mac or pc, just the interface changed slightly...
However the part with the grid seems excessive (unless your planing on reusing the bottle and altering the label design). I think if you are able to take an image you could just as easily print out the lable and stick it on, instead of the grid, and shoot the finished product.
