This is one method to rotoscope by hand, I would suggest people trying this to mirror to a crt monitor or a televison instead of an lcd monitor to avoid damaging the screen.

I'm actually creating a table that has a plexiglass screen that i can slide over my computer without ever touching it and still being able to trace the screen. The nice thing about rotoscoping from a computer is, i can page through frame by frame rather than pressing pause on my tv and using the remote to page through. Its much more of a hassle. But good advice, I've seen your work, and I can say it honestly gave me early inspiration me to do this piece.

That sounds pretty cool. I'd love to rotoscope by hand if I could, but it's transferring it onto the computer that's the rough part, unless you have access to a lunchbox.
