i disagree. frank zappa created one of the most genuine and creative sounds in music that you can find, and that is regardless of whether or not you are a fan of his music. i'd stack zappa up there with the likes of miles davis or chick corea personally. the feel of his music changes so drastically from album to album, which i can't say same for most metal bands.

miles davis helped create jazz FUSION. and if you have listened to return to forever you would know that after playing on bitches brew with davis chick corea became a JAZZ FUSION ARTIST. you should also know that many of zappa's early albums were heavily influenced by the emerging jazz fusion style, like jazz from hell. so please don't try to school me on this. i made the comparison for a reason and i can justify it.
