I do enjoy playing Rock Band. But, see, I hate the fags who get on youtube and post comments like "LOL I PLAYED THIS ON GUITAR HERO! I AM A FAN OF THEM NOW!" even though the only song they listen to by the band is the one that is on Rock Band / Guitar Hero.
As fun as it is, Rock Band spawns Scenesters.
And, by the way, I have been a fan of the Steve Miller Band long before Guitar Hero. I have, however, been introduced to two bands by Rock

I have, however, been introduced to two bands by Rock Band / Guitar Hero games. Rise Against and AFI.
But, with AFI, I only like their old hard punk songs. I don't like their new slower songs.
It is okay if you find a band by the game and actually start liking the band, but if you just like the one song that appeared on the game, then you don't even like them at all. You probably don't even like that song and are just trying to act cool and show off.

1. how can it hurt the music? its harmless
2. Its educating an ignorant generation, the majority of 18 year olds would not have known "carry on my wayward son" was a song, guitar hero brings these classics back into the limelight...
3. Some people, but not all, play guitar hero thinking they are actually playing the songs, this is rediculous, and yes, THIS ruins the music

i agree man...im part of this "ignorant generation", but i love classic rock with a passion; guitar hero exposes me to artists i had heard of but didnt know many songs of, introduces me to new artists, and the like.
and being a musician, it takes an absolute moron to think that playing a guitar hero guitar is ANYTHING like playing an actual one. pure idiocy.
