By the way good is spelled good, not god. You can get away with shortening words, but when it becomes another word you're just a dumbass. This is good for an architect, for art this is piss poor. Most people only think this stuff is good because they've never tasted real representational art, it's never been popular since the indust revolution. Shame since it's finally available in cheap prints. You want me to defend my point? Ask me questions. I care about art so put me to the test.

maybe you are a good artist and know what you are talking about. but you are insulting this guy that is trying to make a nice work.
i am not an artist and i dont know much about art but you should be ashamed.

Ok first off I'd call it criticizing (im giving good reason). Secondly this guy is a grown man with a website who i'm sure can take criticism, just as all artists have to do (it makes you better). Third, I respect the effort (if sincere) but think about this comment. Did you respect my criticism or me? No. Can of worms anyway. Do you respect hitler? I'm planning to teach, kids aren't artist these days because of art like this. I was led astray thinking this was realism too when I was young.

There are sooo many misconceptions about realism. Just like when most people see good representational art they say "Oh that looks like a photograph". No, it looks like life and trys to represent it more sincere than photography does. The camera distorts, flattens, and cant pick up on the colors are eyes can. Most peoples aesthetic sight is dead today, they need something big like a sunset to see beauty in nature. But it's all around.

Again and then i'll try to be done. Since about 1913, modernism, advant garde, have been trying to destroy the principles we've been building on since mankind began creating. Some artists have killed themselves over it. Even today artists like Graydon Parrish get criticized by the times and someone like Currin who paints photo porn praised. Why? because he gives them something to talk about in the papers, ugly things are more interesting to talk about. Great art just needs "Oh".
