I don't need a video to "explain" a song's content - difficult in the case of Radiohead anyway - but I find the song and the video to be too big a contrast. That was probably the intention, but that doesn't mean I have to like it and appreciate it. There are much better Radiohead videos out there.

I think Radiohead tried to choose a variety of winners rather than just one style of video. I agree that the video that won for "Videotape" is what Radiohead's style is more like but I don't think they wanted to limit it to just that. I think they choose the most creative one that appealed to them.

There were so many anime storytelling elements, but the art wasn't traditional anime at all. It looked contemporary and, dare I say, Western!
