Um, i beg to differ. I've seen a few vids where it's just the bassist playing, and most of what i hear is him. his tone is like he's playing single notes and using extremely thick strings. fredrik thorendal? all i hear of him is at the beginning. i can tell it's guitar because the tone tells me it's chords being played on thinner strings, not single notes on thick strings.

i agree with Kw1q51lv3r...i saw the drummers live vids with just tomas and dick, and dick's tone is heard loud and clear(crunchy as hell as well...the most beautiful, distorted bass tone i ever heard...). sure the guitarists have eight strings, but they're still just guitars, regardless of that low F#(not bashing on you guitarists out there. i'm just saying...)

One of the greatest and most original band ever!This is intelligent and brutal music, just like DEATH. I've just listen to Necrophagist and their music seems quite good but I'm sorry to say they have poser vocals. Those vocals are not brutal, just silly. He sound like the fuckin cookie monster. In Order to make brutal vocals one have to sound agressive and tormented, not just agressive and stupid which seems to be his combination! Their music was good though!
